For thousands of years the pearl, which exists within a living organism whose natural habitat is the deep ocean water, has been a rare and mysterious phenomenon.
The black pearl is the most rare and expensive of all pearl. Black pearl develops in black shells and exists only in the Tahitian islands in the Pacific ocean. It is composed of calcium and carbon - the same organic matrix from which our bones are made of - as well as water which provides natural moisture.
Seaweed
Growing naturally in the water, the active components in seaweed are utilized for the rejuvenation of frail skin that lacks radiance and moisture. The seaweed leaves capture active components out of the water; they are rich in protein and create oxygen through photosynthesis. Seaweed, when used in skin care applications, helps to strengthen and reconstruct skin tones and provides the skin with elasticity and a smooth look and feel.

Allantion:
A botanical extract found in the comfrey root, it is healing, soothing and non-allergenic. This excellent anti-irritant aids in the healing of damaged skin by stimulating new tissue growth. Appropriate for sensitive, irritated, and acne skins.
Hyaluronan:
(also called hyaluronic acid or hyaluronate) is a non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. It is one of the chief components of the extracellular matrix, contributes significantly to cell proliferation and migration, and may also be involved in the progression of some malignant tumors. The average 70kg man has roughly 15 grams of hyaluronan in his body, one third of which is turned over (degraded and synthesised) every day.
Evening primrose oil:
(EPO) contains an omega-6 essential fatty acid, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is felt to be the active ingredient. EPO has been studied in a wide variety of disorders, particularly those affected by metabolic products of essential fatty acids. However, high-quality evidence for its use in most conditions is still lacking.
Urea:
As one of the major soluble substances of the stratum corneum (a layer of the skin), urea has a growing importance in dermatological therapy and cosmetics. Diseases such as atopic dermatitis or clinical dry skin are marked by a deficiency of urea. Urea is of significance for the hydration of the stratum corneum. Normal skin contains approximately one percent urea. Furthermore, urea has keratolytic (softens skin) and pruritus-easing (anti-itching) properties and may be incorporated as an active ingredient in moisturizers due to its humectant properties.
Arachidonic Acid:
An essential, unsaturated, 20 carbon fatty acid that humans use to synthesize regulatory molecules such as prostaglandins and thromboxanes.
Alpha Hydroxy Acids:
AHAs are acids that are used as ingredients in skincare, that help to remove dead skin cells from the surface layer of the skin. Some of them (although not all of them) are derived from fruit, so AHAs are sometimes referred to as "fruit acids".
